So ya i finally know how to spell the name of the area that i´m in. To tell you a little about it here´s the run down. The town is way catholic because they have a huge building(chapel) right in the middle of the town. Where you can see it from pretty much anywhere in the town. We have a nice little chapel. Right now it´s only a branch in which my comp and i are cousellors, on sunday we had 41 people show up which is really good. The president is way cool, his daughter does our laundry, and we´re going over tonight for family home evening because his kids novios(boy/girlfriends) arent members. The secretary of the branch can speak a little bit of english cause he lived in utah for 15 years and then probably deported. I haven´t brought up that subject yet due to i don´t want to be rude. But ya most of our day is spent trying to get inactives to come to church(the branch really has 200 members) and contacting. We have a couple of investigadores but i don´t really know who they are because my comp is terrible at record keeping. But he works hard, which i guess is a problem here in the mission. Actually our mission is the most disobiedeint mission in guatemala. Well and its a new generation, not only us but the missionaries from the past 6 months are all way calidad(chapino word for cool)(chapino is a guatemalan). And we´re all going to transform this mission. It was way exciting to talk about it today with some of the other missionaries because they got me in on all the mission dl. And to answer your question mother yes a comedor is a restaurant, and before i forget happy fathers day Dad. but ya we walk all day and the roads are a mix between stone and dirt. So its a good workout. So ya that was pretty much my week just trying to figure out where everything is and what people were saying.

Hi Zach:
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are doing so well on your mission. The language is hard to get at first. It took me six months and then I finally understood others and they could understand me.
I did teach someone who could only understand Jesus Christ when I talked to him but he kept wanting to learn more. So I would teach and my companion would translate it into good french for him. He did eventually join the church.
The spirit converted him.
grandpa Blasczyk's family are mostly Catholic but I did talk to his cousin and he was Jehovah Witness. Grandma's family are Protestant I think they came from Pennsylvania and were Royal Imperial Loyalists. Anyway we love you and pray for you everyday. Bye for now, Love Aunt Pam
