So a big shout out to Madison and hope you are having a very merry wonderful bday, TODAY!
So ya this week we had transfers, my old comp got moved to the Capital and I got a new one. His names elder Godoy and is also from Honduras. He has the same time as Ross, so he returns home in November. So ya thats the dealio. What else, we´re trying to organize the branch better so it can grow, so basically we´re in the midst of giving a bunch of callings. Oscar is doing good, he still needs to come to church to get confirmed so we´re going to go pick him up this week for church and make him come. But ya the problem here is that everybody works on sunday or is lazy, so really the branch could be like 80 people realistically but people lack the faith to come. So thats were we come in. And also we try to bring new investigadores to church as well.
But ya this last week we met a way pilas guy named Manuel. And we just tracked into him, and it was kind of crazy actually. We only were able to teach for 10 minutes about prophets, which he knew what they were. And then we gave him a BOM without explaining it. Good news he came to church on Sunday and then we had an appointment with him after so that was good to actually explain what church we are and what the BOM is. He had a lot of questions so thats always promising. But the cool thing was that he told us that before we came he was praying to god for direction in his life. So as one elder in my zone put it, a greenie miracle.
Also we were able to put a date with these two people we´ve been teaching for august. The dads a member but not active and hes living with a women who has 2 daughters that live him them. And the two daughters both have kids but no husbands. The situation is kind of complex, but we put a date with the daughters so hopefully they come to church. They´ve both read and know the BOM is true so now its only a matter of coming to church.
But i really hope this transfer we can focus on inactives and get the branch stronger. I found out last night that the president of the branch has been president for 9 years. So he needs a break and hopefully we can work on gettint that for him.
It was fun to hear about all the family and the galushas. Hoep they are all doing well.
So well happy bday madison, and sorry but i forgot my camera again so no pictures but next week.
Oh and that reminds me for changes its a 5 hour bus ride to the capital, so i spènt 10 hours on a bus it was not too fun. So hopefully next cambios we don´t get changed or I get changed to somewhere closer.
