So i guess now there´s only one of us in the mission field. I guess
i´ll have to work twice as hard to make up for the difference. Just
kids.
So funny story, there´s this old man we visit everyweek, his name´s
Ernesto. And so everyweek we visit him for like half and hour and just
hear him talk about how he misses church because he can´t attend due
to his health and hes 91. So this week we walk into church and who do
we see Ernesto. Dang, and he walked all the way to the church by
himself. It was kind of hard cause we brought an investigador to
church and so we couldn´t really talk to him because we were sitting
beside our investigador. Anyway so i guess he wasn´t feeling well so
before the meeting starts he wants a blessing, alright kind of
inconvienent but asi es la vida de servicio. So we get done with that
and all goes smoothly. Until the first talk, half way through the talk
he calls to one of the members to help him go back home because he
wasn´t feeling well. And then he gets up and says and waves good bye
to the bishop on the stand. The poor woman at the stand was just not
trying to laugh because he said it so loud and also our chapel isn´t
that big because its only for our ward. So funny, my comp and i were
trying not to laugh.
another funny story, so President had to come to our areas to do an
interview with one of our investigadors. So we meet up with him at the
stake center in another area because he doesn´t know where our area
is. So we meet up and I have to give directions because i konw the
area better. So first off i´m nervous because its president, so while
giving directions i´m stuttering and hes just not understanding me. In
the end i´m almost certain he now thinks i don´t spanish so next
change Lat comp.
The area of Belen is doing good though.so we have 2 people that have
fechas, both are dating/going to be married people that have just been
waiting for divorces. So they should get baptized this next month.
Both awesome, going to be life long members. Now Florencio is like
always needs to quite smoking but hes doing better every week. Also we
teaching this family and the mom is way intrested, shes the one with
the dream. So they´re progressing way good the only thing is that the
family went to north guatemala because her dad died and now there´s a
problem between the siblings who´s going to get the family farm. The
funny thing is that her mom is still alive and living at the farm so
its a wierd situation. So point of the story she couldn´t come to
church.
Besides that awesome, my comp and i are just getting better at
teaching and working hard. He´s helping a lot with my confidence level
and i don´t know why, maybe its just living with someone for a long
time and being around them 24 hours. Needless to say all of my comps
have taught me to be patient. But working hard making you proud mama.
