WEll this week has been a busy week to say the least. We had a baptism of Lucia this saturday and went phenomanal. I am over joyed at how well our ward does at supporting the missionary baptisms. They still lack in other areas but they do that well. The whole family of Lucia came which is way good and a family friend. Now we´re just hopeing the family will follow the example of thier daughter. So that was the highlight, the low light was sunday as none of our investigadores came to church, only lucia, not ever her family came. So that was kind of a downer, but later that night we had a lesson with i´m sure a future member, just he doesn´t know it. His name´s victor and he had talked with missionarues before and with members. He really likes the church and says he would be a member of our church if any, just he hasn´t prayed. So we´re hoping he does and we had a oh so poderoso leccion. The bad thing was he didn´t want us to come back. But i think with time we´ll come( that might be a day or a year i don´t know).
SO funny contacting story while contacting we knocked on this guys door, and he answers it wearing these bunny slippers but not bunny, more like Barf slippers(you know Barf from spaceballs) And to make it better he had the most outragoues beard. Making him look like a what i imagine a hobbit to be like. Also his house was just cluttered only to add to the hobbit effect.
Elder Martinez is still learning and its going good just sometimes i have to laugh cause he´s just awkward. But i remember those days when all i did was just follow my comp and sit in lessons now knowing what in the world was happening. BUt for the least its an adventure everyday. Like today he tried to microwave bread to heat it up, but he ended up burning it so the house smelled like burnt grossness all morning.
Hey so i got some exciting news. I don´t know if i´m supposed to say or what but pres said it in conferencia de zona. SO they´re going to make a new mission in nicaragua(that´ll be 2 there). And a fifth mission here in guatemala! so they´re creating it in june or july of this year. So thats kind of cool. Besides that nothing much. WE had interviews with president this week, and i´ve found out the secret to good interviews. That is that i interview pres, as in i ask him questions. So far its just like whats your bday and stuff like that but next interviews i´m thinking of moving up to PME questions.
