Well lets start from the past. Last monday, i already recounted the story of the microwave accident. Now later that night i was workin on the fridge to get all the ice ou t of the freezer so i could make `popsicles. Good i dea right, well it was going well, i actually felt kind of like an ice carver as i was using a knife, until... i hit something. Apparently the metal tray in the feezer has refrigerant running throught it. So that leaked all out, really hope its not poisonous because i breathed in a lot as i tried to fix it. So that sucked, but whatever just call the office because they must have an extra kicking around. Nope and they told me they don´t have money to fix it either so we don´t have a fridge until further notice. Really i´m just hoping to get changed next cambios. Not because of my comp or the area, but because of the fridge.
The area, is doing great. Just this last week we found out the unofficial ward missionary. We went of divisions with him on sunday night and as we walked to our cita he just started pointing out all of his friends and aquantances that want to hear about the gospel. Now i don´t know if they actually want to hear but as long as we go with him i´m confident we´ll find a couple of new investigadores. Also we had an RM move into the ward, as in return from his mission. So first night we met him he told to wait and 5 minutes later he came out all dressed up and ready to go. Hadn´t planned on that but not important we went to a reference he had for, it was his best friends family all 14 of them. I was so scared i had never taught a family more than 6 or 7 before. IT went really well mostly because we had the rm with us so he just filled everything that we lacked, and wow i still have a long way to go. But its coming. Also Lucia got baptized on feb the 27 and just this last sunday her mom came with her to church. That was great to see. They´re such a great family its just the dad is really sceptical of the church. But it will be sweet because next pday they invited us to cook mole de platino with them. Mole is this sauce of chiles and chocolate, its actually kind of tasty.
Elder Martinez, well at least he´s learning. He has so much desire to share the gospel but he just lack a little on the doctrine side of things. So every night we have a comp correction of Elder martinez´s false doctrines. I finally understand why he has so much ideas, he explained his conversion story with me this week. SO first of he dated a JW for 3 years and was studing with them(i learned that as this week we contacted into a battling JW) and then he broke up with this girl and from there just read a bunch of stuff about all religions. Then he met the missionaries at a funeral and went to churchand really liked it. From there it took him a year to get baptized and from there about another year to be active and then one year of mission prep and now hes here. So it explains a lot of his lack of doctrine. But hes such a strenght in lessons as he shares his conversion story. Because every asks him if he´s a convert or not. THey always just asume that i from utah. In that way he´s ways strong and brings in the love of the companionship. As in charity the true love of christ, its one of the attributes we talked about this week in District meeting.
Now why am i writing you on a tuesday? Well that´s because we changed pday, but only for today. So that we could go to the zoo! yes guatemala has a zoo. and we had to go today because it´s closed on mondays. It was fun to see animals walk around their cages and see the snakes just sit there. But it was something different and fun to do.
