And such is what i´ve decided to name our district as from today i´m emailing all of you from Santo Tomas de Castilla. Well the internet place is in puertos barrios but i´m in Santo tomas. So that was transfers i got sent out to just about the farthest place i nthe mission. IF you look on the map and look for the farthest point of guatemala that is touching the pacific ocean that´s where i´m at. TO be honest i´m dieing. Its like 100 percent humidity here and 30 degrees. Thats not even hot, lucky for me i just got here in time for summer, here its april and may are the hottest months. But ya my area is a port city as in i can see the boats that come to port each day. Its sweet every wednesday is gringo day, thats when the cruise ships come in and we always see gringos riding around in their tour buses. Its funny we always yell at them saying gringo gringo. Its funny because they´re always really old people.
My comp is Elder Rowan, he has 6 months in the mission and is from Fresno california, well actully a little suburb called mercet. He´s way cool, we just laugh as we contact. Oh and here i think it must just be like the island life or carribean life cause everyone will talk to us. They´re all not going to progress but will be nice and give us water and listen to our message. So the real challange is to find those that aren´t just nice but are looking for the truth. Que lastima some of our tribulations. So every person we meet we challange to baptism and see accordingly how interested they are and if we should pass by again. Oh and our area is huge and we have to walk it all or take a bus but that gets pricy really quick. so we just take days and decide which part we´re goin to go visit.
Ok and our breakfast comedor is amazing. She´s a nice lady from Virginia that has lived here for 20 something years. I don´t know why but she does and speaks english with us which is sweet and cooks us the most amazing food. Like american hotdogs. i know its kind of wierd for breakfast but makes me happy because they´re really good and american so its just like lunch for breakfast. But she´s so funny she lives alone, kind fo sad, but has a ton of pets and always talks to us about her birds because they´re laying eggs right now. But shes just the sweetest old lady(only like 60).
But he ward seems sweet,t he branch president really wants to grow the branch because if we can get 150 and puertos gets a 150 they´re going to open up a new branch and make the district a stake when theyall get enought to become wards. So thats really exciting.
From my point of view its going to be my favourite area as long as i don´t die of the heat. I just hope i stay here for a while like 6 months o mas.
Pues tengo que ir y voy a intentar a cargar fotos por ustedes.
Cuidanse
Elder Blaszczyk
