Hello, so here´s the first week in Asunscion.
Lets see, our investigadores, they´re awesome to say the least. There´s this one family, Dads a member and the wife and son not, so first time i go over there, and prior to this they´ve only met with the missionaries 2 times. The dad is all so how does my wife and son get baptized. Ya not kidding, I don´t know what happened with the familiy but i guess just like 2 weeks ago they started coming to church. The family Toledo, so the dad is from guatemala but went to the states for school and in university he met his wife who is from Russia. Crazy first of all, so the oldest son(8) can understand 3 languages and speak spanish, and the other child they have who´s 5 is sharp like a knife. We were talking to her and she just talks and talks but has an unusually large vocab for her age.(her vocab is bigger than mine) So this family is just so pilas and the kids are awesome.
The second investigador that is pilas we got her name is Claudia and before i came in she was talking with the missionaries but she didn´t believe in Christ. Luckily the first lesson we had, she had an experience and now she believes in christ so awesome, also she´s a reference from her neighbor, who is our comedor so we eat and then she comes over and we teach her. She´s way pilas.
Third pilas family is the family LaFuente, they were old investigadores that my comp and his last comp had started teaching. They´re pretty much ready for baptism the dad just needs to stop smoking. But everytime we´re at the house its hard to teach just because their 4 year old is all over the place. The parents try to contain her but she´s just a hurracaine. Its always entertaining though.
So those are our investigadores, and they are all doing awesome. But to say the least i love this area. Our comedor gives us fresh cantoulope juice almost everyday(love it) and it´s not beans and eggs everyday either. The ward is way strong, only about 80 90ish people but the bishoprick actually has consejo del barrio, and we usually have at least 2 meetings every week to coordinate with the ward. It´s awesome to have a ward that wants to help the missionary work in the area. This ward is sweet because it´s my actual first ¨rich area¨. What i mean by that is more than 2 familes have cars. People here give us rides, its awesome. The area is really like 2 areas the rich part which is above the borancos(out of the valleys) and the poorer people live in the valleys. I love it, also that means there´s lots of hills so everyday we get our work out.
My comp and i are getting a long well, we practice my spanish and then his english so we are both getting along pretty well. I´m just super nervous though, i always am the first little bit of a new area. Having to get to know every one and the area. I´m starting to know a little bit of the area, but its a fair size so i´m usually lost. Luckily my comp has 6 months going on 7 in the area so we never actually are.
Also the zone here is tight, my old comp elder Marroquin is my zone lider so thats fun. And my old dl from last change is in my district again but not dl. So in my area we have central park, we walked by it to get to internet, and also the limonada is in my dl´s area. Hmmm lemonade. But ya this area is by far one of the best and the zone too.
