Dear Family

Well this week has been pretty crazy.
Let see Monday I just spent in Rio Trecero a city that is about 30 minutes away from my area, where my district leader is. So ya ate some chicken milanesa and that was about it. Then we came back to work and got figed ( aka people were not home or did not want to continue to see us) the rest of the night.

Tuesday Elder Zirker and I passed by our only investigator Juan and Gladies. They are not really progressing though and they have been taught everything. They still need to give up smoking and Juan still needs to get divorced. They just like to talk forever too.
We also had a branch council meeting; I think that is what it is called in English. So we are basically like the right hand of the branch. We teach classes, conduct hymns, bless the sacrament. Lots of stuff. Also help the branch do about half its home teaching because they are all inactive.

Then on Wednesday I got my hair cut, so I feel a lot lighter and cooler. It is starting to get really warm now. By warm I mean like high 20s. It is so freaking hot here and there is no basement to escape to. Nothing to exciting happened today to be honest.

On Thursday we had district meeting which was interesting because well Elder Zirker got into an argument with one of our zone leaders elder Barlow. The thing is that elder Barlow likes to be listened too and my companion likes to have his own free will. It was about dropping Juan and Gladies, because really they are not progressing. But they got it all sorted out. We decied that elder Barlow was probably correct and dropped them. Also I had felt the same way early this week. So It was just a confirmation of my feelings.
We also started teaching this little girl of this less active family in our branch. The thing is that she only understands vos which is a way of talking that is really slangy so we are not allowed to talk in it normally. So the parents did a lot of translating for us because neither Elder Zirker nor I are very good at it. But other wise that lesson went really well.

On Friday We actually dropped Juan and Gladies. They took it pretty well and We both feel that they will keep coming to church. Then we spent most of the day looking for people. Even during the siesta you know the whole step of faith thing. Ya a guy yelled at us for like five minutes, even though it would have been faster if he had just shuted the door in our face. Weird Argentines.
We also found this cool guy named walter. He said he might be gone this next Sunday for a while but his wife would be interested. We met her on Sunday and she seems really nice. Hopefully they will progress to baptism.

Saturday we spent doing this huge service project. The Branch painted a school. We got there at like7:30 am and left at like 3pm. But it was really good. We got this less active guy named walter and his brother out. Walter has gun scare on this face. But it went really well. Then we made banana bread for a lunch we had on Sunday. Which turned out really good.

Sunday I had to give a talk, but it turned out okay and they gave me warning a couple days a head of time. We have this High council men and his wife that comes on Sundays now to help train the president of our Branch because he is really new and the branch is so small. He will do real wonders for the branch in the reactivation part of things. So I talked about the restoration because I could talk a long time about it.
Then we had a really good Asuado with the branch president after church. He has a crazy one and half year old that almost bite me in my junk because he is at that perfect hit people in the crouch hit when they are sitting down. He charged me and the president is like he is going to bite you. So that was pretty crazy. The kid kept trying top throw things at me through out the whole meal.

Then my companion was feeling sick after we did studies. So we ended our night early. Then through out the night he threw up a bunch of times so I did not get a good sleep. So ya fun mission experinces.

So that was my week. Love you all
Elder Ross Blaszczyk

PS Mom and Dad
that is sad to hear about Grandpa. He is getting pretty old now though. Also way to go Dad, that break story is almost as weird as my Mtc companion's.
