Subject: Cabin fever, happy birthday, tropical storm, dengue, volcanoe, flu, and a lot more

So sorry for not writing sooner but i came down with the worst case of cabin fever that ihave ever had in t he mission. As my companero got hecka sick. So when we first called the nurse she thought it was dengue, after 5 days and no improvement we called again. This time she thought he had the flu and just again had to sit it out as there in no cure for either.Finally a whole week later when he actually started peorando we got permission for him to go the doctor i nthe capital. So that started the adventure of us going to the capital for Elder rowan to see the doctor. The doctor then just gave him some pills and said he had a bacterial infection and should be better in like 3 days. So by this time we were at day 10. And then we returned to santo tomas where my comp started his slow recovery, as he had literally no energy because he hadn´t eaten or drunk much i nthe past 2 weeks. But ya is better as he played volleyball with us today and is back to normal but about 15 pounds lighter.
Ok now the volcanoe, well it happened in a part of the pais called esquintla. ITs bee nactive for the past many years and in 2000 it blew up. So all the mission up until Guasatoya had the weekend off as they couldn´t leave due to the dust and mess. But we were untouched as we are on the other side fo the country, literally the other coast. Then tropical storm(not a hurracaine) landed again on the other coast. I gues the flooding is pretty extreme o nthat side f othe country as also the people over there had to stay in their houses for the weekend. As far as we know 82 people have died but that´s sure to climb and a bunch of water. So it mainly affected the other coast like xela(quezeltanago) and the capital flooded pretty bad. IT was supposed t ohit us too, so on sunday we had t ogo meet up with the rest of the zone for the day, oh and church was cancelled in all of guate because of it. So sunday was kind of borring again as i sat in the house but this time i had company. and the storm was supposed to reach us but died about 2 hours from our area and 1 hour from our Dl´s area. S oa bunch of exitment for nothing.
Also happy birthday mommy, sorry its been a little late and the pics are coming just my schedule has been hecka busy.
But this week should be back to normal and should be good to see our investigadores again. We did divisions the first week of elder rowan being sick. SO the first week was alright as i got out at least a little each day.
So thats the life of me in guat.
