So i got a couple of good stories this week. First the headliner about florencio. So Florencio is one of our investigadores and this last week he has been super sick. So we´ve been passing by to check up and him and just one day he´s not there. And he´s not there for like a week. My comp and i had taken florencio for dead; actually just in the hospital. So we go by yesterday to try and find him and see if he´s home. And he is. What luck, so we catch up with him on whats goin on and it just ends up that he went out to the country to cut coffee. Personally i think he´s too old to be harvesting coffee but, i guess he needs the money. In the end we´re just happy he´s still alive. Also he is making enormous steps with quitting smoking.
Also this family from what we call the miracle reference, they´re awesome defintily chosen. We just got to get the mom to switch her church assistence from misa to sacrament. Its hard cause her mom is catholic but the dad has come 2 of the 2 weeks since we´ve made contact. Awesome. So they both work crazy hours, mostly the dad, the mom just helps out with the family tienda. So we can only teach them on sundays but awesome they always invite us over for lunch after church and then we teach. I love it, and shes a good cook. So that right there is a most beautiful situation.
Those are really our most promising investigadores.
Ok so funny spanish story, so my past tense and imperfect tenses i´m a little shaky on. So if i´m not focusing, when i should use past or imperfect i just default to present. So i was teaching the restoration and how the first church was established. And because i told it all in the present the investigador thought i was talking about repentence and haveing to be born again. My comp was just sitting back trying not to laugh in the end we just gave her the pamphlet and put a return cita. So i think next time we visit we´ll have to review a lot.
So those are the tales from Guate.
Also a question what is Kenny lam´s mision direction so i can send him a letter?
