So another tropical storm has entered Guatemala, but this time at the carribean side. I guess i´ve been pretty lucky, i´ve always been on the other side of the country when a hurricane hits. But because of it we have had solid rain, all day since friday and today its not going to let up. I guess the country is actually kind of torn up right now, all the roads are getting blocked up from land slides and the bridges are fallimg down. But thats life and it happenes when you decide to build all the roads right next to mountains. Not that they can help it.
So as far as the work is going, the familia espana is having some difficulties. We passed by one night and the dad was drinking, ok not like really heavy but a beer or two. the lesson went fairly well considering he wants to change but they ´re haveing some challenges in thier lives right now. Oh and he works a bunch so its hard to teachi them. So they didn´t come to church today.
The good is that we´re teaching the wife of a member and she is jst so ready for the gospel. Its a really good situation there so we challenged her to baptisma nd she accepted the only problem is that they´re not married but we talked to thema bout it and tehy´re allraeady thinking about it so, that should be good. We had some very good lessons with them in fact.
It seems like everyweek here some new people just show up to church for us to teach, so yesterday a new family just showed up to church de repente. I guess their son got baptized i n honduras and they are now liveing here. Acutually they saw us one day about a month ago as we were passing by this one street. NOw underderstand this street they live on is in a highly industrial zone with almost no houses so why we were there that one day i can´t remember, i thnk we were looking for a reference from the office. Well from that point on they were trying to find the church and just found it last week while looking for a place to cut their hair. Again another diffuicult situation because the dad is a truck driver and is never home so that should be fun.
Other than that the week has been good, things are going good with elder quiros and we get along well. Hés a funny guy and a great missioniary, its interesting to hear his conversion story because his parents aren´t members and only his younger brother is a member.
Well tengan suerte
Con amor elder Blaszczyk
