Just another week in paradise here, and heat it was hot here. Well a little more than that, it seems that i´m more excitied to tell you about the week we have coming up in change of what we did last week. But it seems that way every week.
This last week was a lot of fun and we accomplished a lot. At church we are starting to see the fruits of our labour as more faces are becoming familiar and are attending regularily. Here the biggest problem is for people to come to church on a regular basis. So the ward is stabilizing a bit more. I feel that many people don´t come to church or aren´t fully active in the church because they lose their vision of who they are going to become. People forget that consistency develops the attributes of christ. As for me also i was studing this that we need to always have a vision and goal of who we want to become, and amazingly enough we will become that person if we truely want to.
A lot of our work now is working with menos activos and part member families trying to strenghen the branch. And growth will come as we work. I´ve found that the best way to find people is just goin about the planned activities of the day but just talking to the people along the way or knocking that door you feel while walking between appointments. So far we´re finding more interested people and the ward is growing. The people who want to be baptized are being found, like the family Alvarado. For example this week we did divisions, my comp went with this awesome RM of 4 years to go visit some people. While they were walking between appointments this rm remembered a person he had went with missionaries before to teach some years ago.And he pointed out the house and told us to come back when we had time. So this week we passed by and sure enough, they remembered the missionaries that had passed by almost 4 years ago and for some reason on part of the husband had stopped listening to the missionaries. This time we passed by and talked breifely with the wife about a time to come back, so this week we´re going to pass by and see. The good news is the dad doesn´t work(is unemployed) so we can pass by at whatever time to teach and they can come to church, or at least there´s less excuses they can use for not going to church. But by the way the wife talked it sounded like they are semi interested. So just got to go about your day and the lord will place us in the way of people or show us who to visit.
