Subject: November and freezing


Well it seems that the arctic really isn´t that far from guatemala. As with the new month new weather has also blown in, that beening a freezing cold wind. So it has just been down right chilly here this past week, as in sleeping with 3 blankets and wearing a sweater everyday. I honestly never thought it would get this cold here and all the people here are saying how weird it is that its cold this early. Usually it does get this cold but only for a month inbetween december and january.
This week has just flown by as i imangine the rest will. We had zone conference this week which was really good.we talked about goals and how we´re going to achieve 300 baptisms in the mission for the month of november, basically it will just be by motivation. As by if we reach our goal we´re going to have a mission wide luiau, like hawaiian style. It should be sice but its a lot of work to do. And right now our area is a little cold. As in we find people to teach but nobody will come through and go to church. This has happened a lot in my mission as well as i imagine to a lot of other missionaries. But my comp is getting a little frustrated because he´s never been in an area like this where its a little bit more difficult. Mind you its all in the mind set, really we have been blessed with new people to teach but like it says in the scrips, many are called but few choose to be chosen. Ok not direct quote but i like it. But really we have been blessed with a lot of people that are interested in the gospel and friends of members too. Just things happen, and people can´t make it all at once.  What actually has been happening is that we´ve been just during our down hours(ie in the morning and afternoons) we´ve been visting menos activos, but now all the menos activos are becoming active and are bringing their friends with them. Its actually been really cool.
Also on saturday we had the baptism of one of the sons of the menos activos. He´s 8 and won´t count as a convert but no importa the family is coming back and coming back mostly together. what happened is that thier mother died who was way faithful in the church and the rest of them were´nt active and now they feel they need to go back to church. But one of the daughters just went crazy from separation anxiety of something. So she was at the baptism and elder barrett and i were just praying that she wouldn´t do something wierd, yes there have been incidents in some of the lessons before. So we were happy that that went off with out a problem.
Other than that it looks like this week will be again busy.
